New laptop isn’t showing my email folder

My old laptop, my iPad and iPhone are all synced and show my email folders I’ve created. I have a new laptop which has downloaded all my emails but they are all in my inbox and it doesn’t show the email folders. I want to sync my new laptop with my iPad and iPhone in the same way as I did with my old laptop. Can you help?!

Your mailbox personal email folders will be seen under My folders in TalkTalk Mail webmail when you have the Folder view selected to be shown on the left hand side of the laptop screen.

Those mailbox folders will synchronise to email client / email software, such as Microsoft Outlook, connecting to your mailbox as an IMAP account. If you set up a POP3 account, as you did before, then that will download emails to the email software Inbox only and will not synchronise to or show any of the online mailbox folders.

If you've set up a POP3 account on the new laptop I assume that's downloading but not deleting any online Inbox emails. If so then you can safely delete the POP3 account and start afresh with setting up an IMAP email account. You'll find secure IMAP account email settings in the Mail Support Hub.
