Not receiving all emails

In recent days I have been only receiving some emails. Other emails from known contacts including another email address from gmail I have are not arriving. When sending from my gmail account it is not bouncing back as undeliverable. I have logged on directly to Talk Talk and not through an added account to gmail but they both show the same. I have no autoforwards set up either. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Michelle and all out there  trying to help me. The update is that the issue appears fixed as I am now back up and running. All my test emails are in and I am now receiving emails from others.

OK, since TalkTalk amalgamated all their legacy emails into one platform, they have used a single lot of settings regardless of the actual email address.

I a not sure I actually know what you mean! All I know is I connect via Apple MacBook, iPad and iPhone and have never had an issue. Nothing has been changed by me and so there is nothing I feel I need to check. The issue is TalkTalks.

Oh there is no question that it is a widespread issue ands clearly taking longer to resolve than hoped. But you do have your client using talktalk.net settings?

Hi Ferguson, it is on both! I have been using a tiscali email for years since TalkTalk took them over. There has never been an issue for me until several days ago when the issue started. I think the only issue is that TalkTalk have changed something probably in an upgrade and it has caused technical issues with tiscali accounts. As it appears it is not only me.

Problem I believe is only when using Outlook but the missing emails aren't in my webmail either.  Talktalk problem that apparently is fixed.  Disgraceful that they couldn't fix the issue over the weekend, ie Saturday

Is this on webmail, or using a client? If the latter, have you checked that the settings are correct i.e. talktalk.net rather than tiscali.co.uk?

There's a delay in the system being able to deliver simply to catch up  - sheer numbers, @Satty1.

Hi Ady, just sent my tiscali mail another mail from my gmail account and it is still not receiving. That is the second one since the issue was supposed to be fixed. I do not think the issue has been resolved.

Hello again,

 

Latest update: 10:53am 11th November 2024

Our engineers have fixed this issue and all impacted customers will start to see their email service working as it should. There may still be a delay in this as the email service fully resolves and we will continue to monitor this. We'd like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.

I believe that existing emails sent over the weekend should also filter through and I've asked the team to confirm if they will be delayed.

Also Ady,, I surmise without sending an email from gmail to tiscali to test, I should know it is fixed as all failed emails should come through. Is this correct?

I've asked the team if there may be a delay with emails filtering through after the fix and I'll post back to confirm this.
