A year ago I was made to change my log-in email from my main talktalk email address to any non talktalk email. So currently I log-in to my account with my gmail address. Is this requirement still required? I am just wondering if my problem with my talktalk mailboxes going to everymail is connected to this? Maybe if my account was still using my talktalk email address this wouldn't have happened.

Just a thought. Customer support have just about got my email mailboxes from the clutches of everymail. Using the community seems to be the only way to get answers about the service. It is good to have a couple of knowledgeable individuals to help us in need of advice.

No that change was for security and nothing to do with the current Everymail issue.

You need to contact TalkTalk urgently to resolve the Everymail requests if you still have broadband and don't sign up to Everymail.
