I've been using office 2010 since I bought it, as like the photo editor that come with it.

But recently my outlook email stopped sending.

I've changed the setting to the recommended:-

                    Outgoing mail: smtp.talktalk.net - 587 - SSL/TLS

but still it will not send.

I like outlook as I can block mail address etc..

and don't want to spend £150 for a new version just because TT had changed it settings..

anyone any ideas of how to get it working?

This forum won't even let me post... Start to hate talktalk and the computer says no!!!

How are you getting on? Do you require any assistance? Or can we close this topic?

I'd appreciate your time to let us know. Thank you.

Time to retire Outlook 2010. The product is deprecated by Microsoft, has no recent security upgrades and does not support the secure connection requirements of TalkTalk Mail.

If you want a no-cost option then use TalkTalk Mail webmail as that has the option to filter mail messages, mark as spam and automatically report to TalkTalk. If you wish for a no-cost email client option then try Thunderbird from Mozilla. That product is supported on Windows 7 and newer and does contain its own ciphers for TLS 1.2 connection security.
