Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

In Windows Mail it says - In 2024 Outlook is replacing Windows Mail and Calender.
When I click on Try the New Outlook it does not accept my talktalk email address.
It does suggest creating a new Outlook email address.
Does this mean I loose my talktalk email address?

Hi JoJo5
Simple answer is you can continue to use your TalkTalk email address with Outlook for Windows.
Here's the information from Microsoft on starting to use Outlook for Windows and how to go about setting up your existing TalkTalk Mail email account as an IMAP account on Outlook for Windows.
IMAP configuration
Hostname: mail.talktalk.net
Port: 993
Secure connection type: SSL / TLS (recommended)
SMTP configuration
Hostname: smtp.talktalk.net
Port: 587
Secure connection type: StartTLS
An IMAP account will simply mirror what's in the online TalkTalk Mail mailbox for your talktalk.net email address. First thing is to make sure you can sign in to TalkTalk Mail webmail and to confirm to us that your password meets the minimum security requirements - a minimum of 8 characters (although I recommend 12 - 15) multicase letters and at least one number and one symbol. Setting up a new IMAP email account may get rejected if the password is weak.
Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail
Enter your full TalkTalk Mail email address, select Continue and enter the password, select Sign in.
Being able to sign in and see your Inbox mail messages is good.
Check via the user icon top right and the menu item 'Update your reset details' that you do have an alternative email address and a mobile phone number saved for password recovery.
Let us know how you get on. If you need more assistance be specific on what you're stuck on.
