I am getting this error message

MAILER-DAEMON@mx-out.tt.xion.oxcs.net

Your message wasn't delivered because the recipient's email provider rejected it.

The following organization rejected your message: eur.olc.protection.outlook.com.

This is only happening when I send message to hotmail accounts (or reply to a hotmail message)

Please help

Have you considered contacting Hotmail or windows, the client APP itself, or @Anonymous  perhaps can advise.

still no success - the settings are as you describe

I made my talktalk address the primary account in Windows Mail but this did not solve the problem

If I reply to a message from a hotmail account, I get a 'mail cannot  be delivered' error

are other people reporting this error?

My TalkTalk webmail account is working normally

Steps to Manually Add Your TalkTalk Account:

  1. Open the Windows Mail app.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon).
  3. Select Manage Accounts.
  4. Click on Add account.
  5. Choose Other account.
  6. Enter your full TalkTalk email address and click Advanced setup.
  7. Select either IMAP or POP3 based on your preference.
  8. Fill in the incoming and outgoing server settings as listed above.
  9. Enter your username and password.
  10. Save the settings and check if the account is added successfully.

If you continue to experience issues, ensure that your internet connection is stable and that there are no firewall or antivirus settings blocking the connection.

I've deleted my TalkTalk (TT) account from the Windows Mail client but Windows Mail will not allow me to add the TT account again

It says sign in failed (my password is correct and allows me to LOGIN to TT webmail without a problem)

Can you tell me the necessary settings so that I can try a manual installation?

Okay please do so, and tell us the outcome, we really can't help if the issue is third party, that why most of the time we ask, is the issue also with your webmail.

that seems to be the case

shall I remove my talktalk account from Windows Mail and then add/reinstall it?

I dont want to use another E mail client unless I have to

On Windows mail, when using your TalkTalk account, it doesn't work right?

Good point

I normally use Windows Mail to send E mail messages

This time I used my Browser to send a (test) message from my talktalk account to my own hotmail account

This was sent satisfactorily and received by my hotmail address without apparent problems

it looks like the problem is with Windows Mail

On webmail are you able to send emails.

SPAM/JUNK is not the problem as the TalkTalk webmail is reporting that these E mails cannot be delivered

I would not get that message if the messages were simply going into junk or spam folders

It must be something to do with the way the TalkTalk webmail is operating

The recipient may have specific filters set up that reject replies from certain senders or based on the content of the email thread. Kindly check with the recipients if these do not go spam or junk folder. Please do provide us with feedback so we can look further into this from our end.

It seems to happen mostly when I reply to a message from a hotmail account

can you explain the error messages that I sent to you in an earlier post?

This happens when you both send/reply to emails from Hotmail accounts, is that correct? You do not get this problem with other accounts/email addresses?
