Pipex email not working on Mac mail or iPhone

Sorry to trouble you but I think I have the same issue as posted on   pipex email not working  td-p 2953764    

 

my old pipex account of  ????  @ dial.   pipex.   com     no longer works and I have tried to update the mac mail application settings as per the guidance on that ticket. My iphone mail app I've also updated to use mail.talktalk.net and SSL but no joy there either.

 

Can you help me please?

I did get a mail from talktalk last August .....We’re making some changes to how you access your TalkTalk Mail and we’ve noticed the settings you are using need to be updated. Please update these within 30 days of receiving this email, as using incorrect settings will cause issues sending and receiving emails. Once updated you will be able to access your TalkTalk email account as normal.

 

I tried changing the settings as advised then but they didn't work so reverted to what had been working for years and all fine until yesterday and talktalk email on 21/02/23 - We recently contacted you, asking you to update the settings on the app or software you use to access your TalkTalk email service. Our records show that you are still accessing your email using unencrypted email settings, because of this, from 22nd February you will no longer be able to receive or send emails via this email app or software.
