How is it that several of the spam mails I receive have neither my name or email in the addressee box, but still find their way into my mailbox?

Perfect! If you are still experiencing the issue, you can try to switch TalkTalk webmail and let us know if you are still experiencing the issue and we will be able to look further for you.

Thank you for confirming, I am unable to run any checks since you are using a 3rd party to access your emails.

Enhanced Filtering Options

Utilize Focused Inbox: Make sure to enable Focused Inbox in Outlook to separate important emails from others, which may help you manage your inbox better.

Advanced Junk Email Options:

  • Go to Home > Junk > Junk E-mail Options.
  • Set it to High for more stringent filtering.
  • Add known spam addresses to the Blocked Senders List.

Create Custom Rules:

  • Go to Home > Rules > Manage Rules & Alerts.
  • Set up rules to automatically move certain emails (e.g., based on specific words in the subject) to the Junk folder.

I'm still receiving spam, but all now addressed to me - damned nuisance. I continue to junk them and block the sender.  Hopefully they will eventually dry up. Any useful suggestions will be most welcome.

Hi Guys - no, I haven't created any aliases.  Strangely, for the last few days spam has me as recipient. Prior to that they were almost always addressed to 3 names, one of which was Randy Bays.  Any thoughts?

I've had that too, @jasper9 and I don't have any "aliases".

Have you created an alias for that email address, and what is the email address shown as the recipient?
