Talktalk emails rejected by Yahoo

During the last 2 days I've received 5 Mail Delivery System messages informing me that 5 individual emails which I sent several days ago could not be delivered. "Your message wasn't delivered because the recipient email provider rejected it……The following organization rejected your message: mx-eu.mail.am0.yahoodns.net ....... messages from 153.92.124.240 temporarily deferred due to unexpected volume or user complaints". All affected messages were to sky.com, yahoo.co.uk and aol.com email addresses that I regularly send to and all messages have been saved to the  "Sent" folder.

This is the same problem that occurred back in October/November last year but obviously the solution found by email providers was not a long-term fix!

We have also been getting these messages since 10th January.  It seems to affect only aol and yahoo email addresses.   We get the message "Messages from 153.92.124.240 temporarily deferred due to unexpected volume or user complaints".

Unsure how to proceed, other than by moving to another email provider?

Ok thanks for confirming that the recipients are still rejecting talktalk mail as spam.

Hi Ady,

Since 5th Jan, I've been using Gmail to communicate with any of my contacts who use yahoo.co.uk, sky.com or aol.com as there seems little point in using Talktalk when I have no confidence that the emails will reach the recipients. As a test, I did send and email from Talktalk to a yahoo.co.uk email address earlier today and have since spoken to the intended recipient; they have not received the email. I have not received a Mail Delivery System message regarding that particular email, but as these Mail delivery System messages seem to be generated several days after the event, I wasn't really expecting to receive one at this stage. Until such point that Talktalk identify the reason for this recurring problem and confirm that a solution has been implemented, I'm afraid I'll consider Talktalk email to be unreliable and basically unfit for purpose.

Please start your own thread rather than posting on another customer's, @costumewifie.

It will help give Talktalk an idea of numbers and avoid confusion.

My problem is identical to Lyn52.  How can ordinary paying punters possibly resolve a situation which is, in effect, two or three or four big name providers squabbling among themselves?  Can't they just fix it?  The chaos caused by non-received emails is enormous and serious.
