Hi,

After receiving a message advising me to update the settings on my tiscali account I am unable to access my messages through Outlook or my Samsung phone. I've checked the settings are correct but it appears there is an issue with my password. The password is correct as I have used it to access the talktalk browser for my messages.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Kelsier, I've added your mailbox to the list to be restored to full service.

If you received the mail message from TalkTalk advising "Our records show that you are still accessing your email using unencrypted email settings, because of this, from 17th February you will no longer be able to receive or send emails via this email app or software". that means TalkTalk have limited your mailbox to webmail only access because of continued use of insecure settings.

The password will be ok and allow you to access webmail. But the password will not be authenticated via email software until TalkTalk restore full access for you after we've confirmed that you do have secure settings in place ready for next week

Outlook may not be able to support secure settings and older Samsung email apps wouldn't connect to secure servers. So we need to help you use the right devices, the right software and to use only secure settings for the incoming and outgoing servers and associated password authentication.

Tell us what devices you use for email, what their operating systems are and what email software is in use and its version.

What is the operating system running Outlook and what version of Outlook?

What Samsung model phone and what Android Operating System and Email software version (Gmail / Samsung / Other)?
