Hi,

Similar situation to others, I thought I had updated the settings a while ago but seems not...

I have a MacBook Pro 2021 which I use Microsoft Outlook as an email client, settings below:-

I also have an iPad 6th Generation using the Apple Mail email client, settings below:-

I also have an iPhone 14 Plus on which I tried deleting my TalkTalk mail account and adding it again but that doesn't work either.

I've updated my account details as well.

Best Regards

Phil

Hi Phil, I've chased this this morning and been told there were some delays but they're being sorted today.

Hi Andy,

Just checking if the mailbox access has now been restored? I still can’t access, tried from both iPhone & iPad this morning and getting the “No password provided for TalkTalk” notification. Tried re-entering the password and still get the same error message.

Do I need to await a further notification before trying this to confirm access has been restored?

Regards

Phil

Okey dokey!

I didn't see you'd got duff settings on the iPhone to cause the withdrawal of access. Request for full access is in and TalkTalk Support will respond right here. Access ASAP afterwards.

Hi Gondola,

Thankyou very much for your quick response. Yes, these are the only devices I use to view email. I think what has happened is that I didn't change the iPhone settings properly, as I stated previously I deleted the account and tried to reinstate but I assume access is blocked now until the access is restored.

I have accessed the Webmail very occasionally from my work Laptop but never from outlook or any other email app / client.

Best Regards

The secure settings you've shown will all work.

Are those 3 devices the only way you view your mail messages?

Did you change any of those settings since the notification from TalkTalk about removing email client access because a device was still connecting using insecure settings.  Just asking so you have confidence that it was one of those devices and not a rogue device.
