Tiscali.co.uk email service being stopped although I have a contract paid up?

I use Tiscali.co.uk for many years but recently have had a email stating that as I am not a paid up customer the service use of Tiscali.co.uk is being taken over and I will have to pay extra for a third party company to keep using my email address.

The page on the website looks official.

Can anybody throw any light on this please. Is this true or a very clever hack?

Any help gratefully received.

Had spent Sunday afternoon and then most of this afternoon as it seems nearly impossible to talk to a human on the phone and could have spent just minutes telling the TalkTalk person what the problem is. Instead using their auto system there was no box to click for the specific question of being asked to pay for an email service when I had been with Tiscali.co.uk for years and of course TalkTalk account.

Trying to get through wearing my fingers out going through four people tapping away to keep explaining the problem.

Eventually they have linked my Tiscali email to my account. Hurrah this was not my problem so hopefully this should now be included with my main account including emails.

This is a classic example of having to punch texts and waiting for pointless replies when the old system of actually talking to people rather makes TalkTalk anything but "Talk" At 70 plus years I would rather spend my hours of life left out in the garden or riding on two wheels not sitting upstairs in a room hitting the keyboard.

So folks at last we get there and hopefully it is sorted out now.

@FlyingBrick3

You may have received the email in error, as noted at the top of the help article here.

If you want to check further you will need to contact TalkTalk directly, see the link at the foot of my post.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.
