Hi williamhamilton99 I've added your mailbox to those to be restored to normal function. Please allow 48 hours for the change to complete.

Unfortunately by the 21st the removal of the device access was already underway as the notification indicated.

Ady-TalkTalk will respond here asap. He was telling others that the time to restore access was up to 48 hours. I guess that may mean your device access may not get restored until next week.

In the meantime use TalkTalk Mail webmail via an up to date Internet browser.

Enter your full TalkTalk Mail email address and password, select Sign in.

Don't forget to update your Community profile or Ady will have to ask you for your email address.

Settings were set up previous to today. They were done when I received the email early hours of 21st. Seems quite poor for staff not too mention that information when speaking to them about cancelling services. I suppose its another product they can't miss sell to customers. Happy days, any ideas of how long that will take?

Your device access was withdrawn because you hadn't previously set up secure mail. Now that you've got around to doing that I'll ask TalkTalk Support to restore your device access on the basis of your self certification that you have set up secure mail settings.

Prepare for TalkTalk Support - include in the Community Profile (not in these public posts):

Alternative mobile contact number. Full address with postcode (in the Location box)

Scroll down to Private notes to add the email address

Check and Save changes

Select here: Update your profile

Are you aware that as a non-TalkTalk customer it's a requirement to subscribe to TalkTalk MailPlus if you wish to retain the long term use of TalkTalk Mail on all supported devices. I'll include a guide to MailPlus below along with device guides.

Hi All,

No longer a Talktalk broadband customer so trying to get support is a ball-ache,
Email was working all great until 17:03 this evening when i recieved an notification to my phone to verify my details as server was having an issue communicating (standard samsung message) Now not getting access to emails via app, Settings set up correct

Username: Email address
Email: Email address
Password

Incomming:
IMAP server: mail.talktalk.net
Security: SSL
Port: 993

Outgoing:
SMPT: smpt.talktalk.net

Security: 587

Require Authentication: Active

Now got no access to emails via phone which is a pain as all emails link via the email app. Now having to check webmail and my email app. Any particular reason for this, recieving an error advising me that my Username or Password is incorrect or POP3/IMAP not configured for email account

Any help be greatly appreciated.
