i contacted talk talk support yesterday with an issue regarding my email...for some reason it refused to login to my tiscali email login

i tried to do a reset password but was unsure whether i had set up alternate email or mobile number to receive a reset link

having contacted talktalk support and explained that had issue with my email login ...and told them alternate email and mobile rest link would be sent in 24 hours ..

however it is now 24 hours ..and in talktalk fashion nothing...still nothing

so much for customer service

Hi there @harris87 I'm sorry that you have this issue if may ask, have you managed to sort out the reset password?

I don'tknow if you've sorted this out yet, but if not try and locate this link from the "How do I close my TalkTalk email account":

 

It's the link to 'Maibox Manager' and worked for me. I've tried to attach it.

it is now end of the day

my  email reset still not sent ...nothing

useless support 

truth be told...i think you lot have either blocked my email address or deleted my account

tell what the hell is going on

@Gliwmaeden2 Thank you for your suggestion, the email is linked to the broadband account and checks have been done and webform was done this weekend to enable the customer to reset the password.

I know it’s not the experience you expect, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience. The webform was sent and if you do not receive the email by tomorrow we will be able to look at other options.

@Mandisa-TT, if there are problems with the Tiscali address, is it actually linked to the customer's ongoing Broadband account?

 

Possibly worth checking as there can be issues with the older addresses.

NOPE...checked alternate email and mobile...still nothing

talktalk support is useless ....do you lot do nothing..

i have already raised a complaint

if it not resolved by today then i will go further

how can 3 seperate agents say the say thing and still not resove my issue

as soon as my contract is up ..IM GONE

after all these years ...it is the worst since talktalk was taken over

@harris87 Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m really sorry to hear you’re still unable to access your Tiscali email account. I completely understand how frustrating it is to be waiting for a reset link that hasn’t arrived—especially when you rely on your email.

I’ve checked your case details and can confirm that the password reset request was logged. The 24‑hour timeframe refers to one working day, so if the request was made on a non‑working day or outside weekday working hours, the reset link wouldn’t be issued until the next working day. That would explain why nothing has come through yet. Please check your spam/junk folders and if you have not received it by tomorrow morning, let us know.
