Unable to synchronise with outlook server

I've not been able to use my email via Outlook for several weeks, but I can email via TT webmail.  I keep getting error code Ox800cccOE "unable to synchronise with server".  TT won't provide any answers nor Outlook.  I keep getting referred to "external experts" who charge steep fees for their services and being an 80 year old pensioner I can ill afford to go down that route.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and how to resolve it?

Unfortunately TalkTalk cannot normally offer support for external programmes customers may use to access their services as these are varied and there are many of them. However where possible advice is given in general terms.

 

There is a bug bring reported in outlook that is affecting mail, but that has only recently occurred and you say this has been going on a while.

 

Here is a search for the error code and help from others that may provide an answer for you.

 

Have you checked your account settings are correct. You can find these here.

 

Have you tried removing your account from Outlook, and re-adding it. This sometimes removes any bugs.

 

Hope this helps resolve the issue but if not, I'd recommend joining a forum for Outlook and posting on there.
