I am getting emails saying I am not a broadband customer and my email account will be closed. I am a broadband customer. Is this a mistake or a scam.

See my recently updated post about this.
You should contact them by 'phone and they will, or so the customer service guy said, send you a form my email which should re-establish the fact you are a TalkTalk customer and your email service is safe.
Whilst the customer service guy apologized and confirmed that my/our email service will be OK (that still to be seen) I think all those customers unnecessarily affected and worried by this TalkTalk mistake are due an email apology at the very least.

@PhilipBradbury and @Starfleet,
If you are current customers the safest way to deal with this is to contact Talktalk directly via Live Chat [8am - 9pm] or by phone on 03451 720088 [9am - 7pm] and indeed check that your Talktalk address(es) are recorded as associated with your active broadband account with Talktalk.
You may have been contacted in error, as happened to many customers back in April:
https://help-centre.talktalk.co.uk/Email/Find_info_or_guidance_about_my_Email/Email_Transition_FAQs
Otherwise it's a scam. You can check the sender's name but don't click on any links in the emails.
Customers should only sign up for Everymail if they have actually left Talktalk - after a grace period, they are sent an email by Talktalk to sign up to Everymail. That's the only correct procedure. Customers shouldn't be going directly to Everymail without using the link given to them by Talktalk.
Only relevant if customers have actually left Talktalk.

Just got this today too! So crazy!
Have replied saying for them to associate with my TT account but now utterly worried something will go wrong.
