Since yesterday 21/2/24 i've been unable to receive emails from talktalkto my iphone 8

Are you sending from your TalkTalk Mail email account to a TalkTalk Mail email account on the iPhone or another email account on the iPhone 8? 

 

Or are you saying that the TalkTalk Mail IMAP account on the iPhone 8 is not synchronising with your TalkTalk Mail mailbox?

 

Asking because I cannot diagnose the issue with the information you've given so a little more detail is required to know what's happening or not happening.
