There are probably others as well but it since this morning I cannot access Reddit - it's pretty annoying, I can connect via my mobile data so the fault is with TalkTalk. I checked the Homesafe & nothing is blocked - any help appreciated

thanks

The old turn-it-off-and-turn-it-back-on-again routine, eh? Thanks for letting us know.  🙂

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Okay, I just tried another tip which was to turn off the modem and unplug it at the wall for 60 minutes - it seems to have worked! The power cut yesterday was for over 2 hours so it's all a bit weird but I can go to Reddit etc now. Hopefully this will help someone else in the future, thanks for the help - I will update if anything changes.

cheers👍

On my online account it mentions Homesafe which is OFF - all of my security options are OFF- I don't pay for any extra security etc. Checking the Homesafe was mentioned in the numerous searches I did to try to find the solution. We changed nothing this end and it has just blocked many sites since yesterday morning, the issue is with TalkTalk. Hopefully they can sort it quickly as we aren't exactly thrilled especially after having no internet at all for over 24 hours a week ago due to a fault their end.

@ferretfing

Just looking back through this thread and in your very first post you said "I checked the  Homesafe." So do you actually have HomeSafe active on your account? If so, why not just remove it, especially as you say are an adults only household.

I thought I'd mention that there was a power cut here yesterday morning so I don't know if that could affect the modem? We've had them before with no impact.

already tried it, I searched everywhere for info before posting here, I'm guessing that the adult filter is doing things their end, just have to wait. Thanks for the reply though.

OK, well the support team here won't be back online until Monday. If you would like them to look into this for you make sure that your personal details including TalkTalk phone number or account number are complete on your community profile (click here) so that they can link your forum identity with your account and then wait for them to respond.

no ad blockers, 4 different browsers - works fine with mobile tether with those browsers - worked fine yesterday, not inexperienced this end - fault is with TalkTalk, they had to repair our connection last weekend as we lost all connection but it has been fine until today - it's like it's blocking all adult content, even the National Lottery site. Only adults in the house, never used any kind of safesearch etc.

This has cropped up before. Make sure that ad blockers are disabled and pop ups and redirects are enabled on your browser. Or try a different browser.
