Hi, how do I to about getting the cable from my telephone socket to the outside supply mast replaced?   We've recently had our house rendered and the cable needs replacing as is now a multitude of colurs and looks very unsightly.

Hi gregg,

If your connection is working fine then Openreach wouldn't look to replace the external cabling.

Thanks ,yes seems strange,  I guess eventually they will remove them all,   they do look unsightly just like the rusty old bracket on side of my house.   Looks like I'm getting the paint pot out for the cable and bracket then 🙃

If there is nothing wrong with your connection it won't be replaced just for the aesthetic looks.

Many people, myself included, who have moved to fibre would like our old copper overhead wires taken down, but it's not seen as a priority.
