I'm on a G.Fast 300mbps service, with a Huawei MT992 modem connected to a third party router.

I have only just noticed this but the internet led/light on the modem is not on/flashing, but
yet I have a stable internet connection. Has the led failed or is there another issue?

The internet light on my Open Reach modem doesn't light up and I am getting persistent outages. I've reset to modem but the problem has persisted throughout most of December. The talk talk message service is rather poor I'm afraid. You wait hours to get nowhere. I've checked out local outages and none of them coincide with my issue. I need this to be solved as I rely on the internet for work. Any ideas of how to proceed from here?

thanks

Graeme

I'll try a live chat with talktalk.

Ah, I know, I get it. But to paraphrase a well known old adage: if it ain't broke, then TalkTalk can't fix it!

Apart from the light, yes.

Just wanted peace of mind.

Ah! Sadly that can be unreliable. Back to where we started: is your service working OK?

I dont think so, but the online line checker saying more investigations need to be done.

'We've found an issue that requires a refresh of your connection'. this is the second time its done this just by checking.

Has the connection now failed? If so and this is down to the modem then it should be replaced free of charge.

Morning,

Thanks for your post. If your connection is working ok then I wouldn't worry about this but if it does start to cause any issues then please let us know.

Thanks

Michelle

Personally, if everything is otherwise working as it should then I wouldn't worry too much. The support team will of course advise further when they are back online tomorrow.
