After a power cut today (6 hours) i have lost my internet connection. Orange light continuously flashing. My network no longer appears in my list. Tried everything, even resetting my router but no joy. Please help!

Hi Debbie,
The replacement router arrived today and was set up and running withing minutes! Was able to set up other devices on wifi with no problems. Also appreciate the return of the old router - a great policy! Will get that sent off asap.

yes, I turned the router off for over an hour, checked all the connections. Finally this evening I connected my old Talktalk router which got me connected to the internet. I think the problem is the router itself.

When you say reset, have you tried turning it off for a full 30 minutes before turning it back on again? That may fix the connection, unless that itself is down.
This has been flagged to the support team here for you and they should pick it up tomorrow.
