Router not connecting and no can’t log into my account.

Hi,

 

so around 5pm ish today my phone would lose my wi-fi connection and I would have to manually reconnect it. A minute later it would lose it again and so on. 

 

After 10 minutes or so, it wouldn’t reconnect. 

The router had dropped its connection and was on the orange flashing light. 

I followed restart instructions - off for 20 minutes (plus some), leave it 5 minutes to reauthorise.

I tried to connect my laptop direct and go into the router on 192.168.1.1

 

It won’t connect. 

I started the live chat using my phone on 4g - got past the bot stage to then be passed to a real person. TalkTalk then locked out on my phone. 
I couldn’t log in with my work phone either - just churning on the log in page. 
I’ve tried my wife’s and both my kids phones. All the same. 

im a bit stuck as to what to do now. 

I did have a fault logged with talktalk a few months ago where everything on the 2.4ghz band was dropping. I speculated that the router was dying but they wouldn’t have it as they could see no fault. 

I now wonder a few things:

 - talktalk is down in my area (line check said not though)

 - I’ve been hacked

 - the router is faulty

 - other??

 

What do I do?

Can I just check, have you added the correct landline number to your Community Profile as I'm unable to locate any details? (please do not post the number on this thread, please only add this to your Community Profile)
