Safesearch locked on

Safesearch is locked on when I'm on the internet on my phone using WiFi and can't be switched off.

As soon as I switch to my mobile data, safesearch is off.

I switch back to WiFi again and it's locked on again.

This doesn't just happen on my phone, it happens on my wife's phone as well.

Safesearch is showing as off on our talktalk account. I've tried switching it on and then off again to see if this resolved it, but it didn't.

I unplugged our router for 20 minutes to reset it and this resolved the issue and safesearch was no longer locked on. However after a couple of days it was locked on again on both mine and my wife's phone when we were using WiFi.

I reset the router again by unplugging it and it resolved the issue again, but this time for only a very short time, as when I checked it again around 30 minutes later, it was locked on again.

I was told in the live chat help that this is an issue with Microsoft, however the above information clearly shows that this is a fault with the network, or perhaps the router itself is faulty.

This is an ongoing problem and I have very little time to enter into live chat due to the hours i work.

At this point, we are considering changing our broadband provider, as we are having to use our mobile data to not have limited internet access.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there a way to resolving it, as talktalk don't seem to be able to.

@Philile-TT, @keith-276 has done the above already many times.

It is fundamentally a Google facility. It might be worth checking Google settings.

You access these by clicking on your initial, top right of a Google page.

Please try the below settings, if they do not work on your end you will need to contact the full fibre department, I will also attach the details below.

Router Settings: Access your Wi-Fi router's settings. Look for any parental control features that may enforce SafeSearch.

DNS Settings: Ensure that the DNS settings do not include a secure DNS service that enforces SafeSearch.

Browser Settings: Check the settings in your web browser. Some browsers have their own Safe Search or restriction settings.

User Account Controls: If you're using a managed account on a device (like a school or work account), check if there are restrictions applied.

Try turning off your router at the mains for a full 30 minutes before turning it back on again. This should reset the session and give you a new IP address. Please advise what happens after this.
