Hi there , I've just ended my contract on standard copper wifi with talktalk and am thinking of changing to fibre65  What's involved with this change?   .

I've got a old landline that is copper cabling, but no firbe box yet.

Can i do this and what will be involved in the switchover ?

Thanks for any help    Roger G

Thank you for contacting us, I've had a look for you, and I can see that full fibre is available in your area, if you would like to discuss taking up a full fibre package with us, I will be happy to assist you. Please let me know and I will look at what packages are available to you. Thanks

As far as I’m aware fibre is riled out to the local connection boxes but the supply to the house is still the old copper cabling. Thanks for your reply by the way

There is a full fibre version of Fibre65, @jbuchanangb.

@rogerg3, were you hoping to upgrade to that?

Not all copper connections included the part fibre options [FTTC] which take fibre to the cabinet. My own options for example are simply ADSL or leap to full fibre.

What package are you currently on?

Fibre65 is still delivered over copper wires, i.e. FTTC (Fibre To The Cabinet). I recently upgraded from Fibre35 to Fibre65 with no changes to equipment. What do you mean by "standard copper wifi"? What is the actual name of your package? Do you mean you are still using ADSL, which is copper connection all the way to the exchange?

Now surfing from a Dell Inspiron 3881 running Windows 11 and a Qualcomm QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter with Sagemcom FAST 5364 router.

Have a look here first to see if it is available to you:

Beyond that, there is loads of information on the help pages.
