Where is chat and contract question

Hi

Couple of questions.

Why is chat never available?  Its not at the top of the page or available when I log into my account.  I have checked the opening times and it should be there?  Hence I am here...

Second question.  After a lot of back and forth I decided to stay with Talk Talk for another 18 months.  I was told that there would be no increases in price over that period yet the contract that just arrived says "Once your contract ends, the monthly price for your Fibre 150 broadband plan will increase from 1st April each year by £3".  Does this mean when my current contract ends or when my new contract ends 18 months from now?

Hi there @JJR99 I would like to confirm if you were able to get through the live chat team or do you still require assistance?

Have you tried clearing the cache?

Have you tried a different browser?

Which browser are you using? I'm using Opera.

I have never seen that button available.  See the attached.

Thanks for the info on the fixed price plus.  I understand that as meaning when my new contract starts that  unless I cancel the contract or stop paying there will be no annual increase.  Which to be fair to Talk Talk is a nice little bonus.

I get a big blue chat button when accessing the page.

As for fixed price plus this is from TalkTalk informatipn

Fixed Price Plus

For a little extra each month we promise to never raise the price of your broadband, whilst you remain in contract on your plan, or by more than the annual rate of inflation once your contract comes to an end. So you can stay with us for the long haul if you choose, safe in the knowledge that the price you’re paying won’t ever give you a nasty surprise.

Hi @fr8ys

Thanks for the reply no pop ups or blockers being used and no chat button in the link you gave me or my account even when I am logged in.

Regarding my other question having logged into my account I see "Thanks for staying with us. Even though you’re out of contract, we’re freezing your price. No shocks or surprises – just that same great value. The only change you’ll see is a price rise in April, in line with your terms and conditions. Simple, fair, and reassuring. It’s just our way of saying thanks."

I was told verbally there would be no increase in price for the duration of my contract Is this actually the case or will my price increase in April?

UPDATE

I just looked at my new contract again and see I am on a fixed price plus deal.  Could you please clarify what this means,  thanks.

If you wish to chat online, there is a link on this page together with details of opening hours

https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/articles/our-live-chat-team/ta-p/2230529

If the chat button does not appear, disable any pop up or ad blockers you may be running and try again. The button sometimes disappears when there are no operatives available, so keep refreshing.

if you'd like a reply here, you are in the staff's queue for a response.
For a quicker reply can you please ensure you have your personal information up to date in your profile including your TalkTalk landline phone number so your account can be traced. Link here - https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/personal-profile:personal-info
If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
You can also add your account number in the private notes field, which only you and the support staff can view.
Please post back when done.
Thank you
