Starting last Thursday I have had 16 calls from Talk Talk Lapwing (Manchester).
I am currently a customer and have a zero balance on my account. Why am I being harrassed by Talk Talk like this ? Have you actually considered that the customers you are calling might be vulnerable or have serious health issues ?
Out of the 16 calls, I managed to answer 3 of them - each time, there was nobody there or I heard sounds of laughing and the line dropped.
Multiple times I have tried to ring Talk Talk to ask why they seem hell-bent in contacting me - each time I encountered a CS representative who was about as helpful as a one-handed rugby player... rude, arrogant and just talking over the top of me to such a degree that I had to end the call.
I'm telling you now Talk Talk, if these calls don't cease or you force me to block the number I will end my contract after 10 solid years of being a customer.
This is not a knee-jerk reaction, I mean it - even if it is financially detrimental to me, I will do it.

I can understand your annoyance. By all means see where your complaint leads. But unless you have Full Fibre already it may be as @fr8ys suggested. If they call again it might be worth gritting your teeth and listening further to what they have to say. If they come up with a decent sounding deal for changing over don't feel rushed into anything, note down the details and compare with what other providers in your area are offering. You can always then go back to them and negotiate on your own terms.

Appreciate the reply, but it's definitely not scammers...
During one of the calls to customer service, the one person I spoke to who made some sense said that Talk Talk were calling customers trying to 'up-sell'.
I asked him if this was normal practice and he said yes....
I have made a formal complaint, so see where this goes.

Are you sure they are from TalkTalk as spammers do spoof legitimate phone numbers?
It is unusual for TalkTalk to phone customers generally unless they have an issue that has been reported to them by the customer and the appropriate technical or complaints team will then make contact.
The line going dead on answering is typical of spammers, dialling a number of phone numbers, then clearing them once they have other people on the line.
If you haven't contacted them and you do answer it be very wary if they ask you to confirm any details.

There's no staff support on here to respond, @Biomechanic.
