Fibre150 not getting expected speeds

Since I have upgraded to FTTP 150 I think talktalk sold me a dream. I was getting 150mb the first month and the it gradually was dropping. Now I'm getting 65-70mb which isn't bad but I'm paying for ultra fast fibre 150mb so the upgrade was pretty pointless. Can any TT member help  or not?

Hi jubz0800,

I'm sorry to hear that your speed has dropped. Could you answer Keith's questions to help identify what could be causing the loss of speed

Thanks

Chris

Do you have a wired (Ethernet) device, maybe a laptop, that you can connect to the ONT box in place of your router & do a speed test from there? If so, what speeds do you get?

Which router do you have & how are your devices connecting to it when you get the slow speeds, via wireless, wired or a mixture of the two? Are wired connections, if you have any, better than wireless ones?

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries.
