Future Fibre - no landline

Hi

City Fibre called and upgraded my UFO fibre to Future Fibre today.

The engineer plugged the phone into the Grandstream box and said I had to wait for the phone light to come on before using the landline. Now, over two hours later, still no blue light and, therefore no landline.

Help!

Mikel

Still seems to be a hell of a lot of confusion regarding the availability of VOIP via CityFibre. I was initially told yes on a chat before my upgrade after asking the question several times on these forums as well but after doing my own research proved this was not the case.

Customers are losing treasures phone numbers because of this misinformation and the impact for some can be huge especially running businesses from home.

Why cant TalkTalk just admit that any Fibre service provided by CityFibre does not include and cannot include VOIP.

Hello,

Have you tried powering down the ONT, eero and DVA and tried connecting again?

Can you try the following, plug the DVA (grandstream) into the ONT, wait for the broadband light to come on then perform a pinhole reset of the DVA, this should get the phone light back on within about 5 mins, once that comes on can you change setup back to normal. Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks

Hi Ferguson

Well if they do not then someone has a lot of explaining to do as I was sold a package with free calls from my landline and specifically mentioned that I required my landline for several reasons.

I have tried downloading Digital Voice and logging in with my account details and that does not work either.

I am not sure that City Fibre connections support VoIP services presently. I have asked the support team to advise further.
