Hi
I am struggling to keep my Nest speaker and Google speaker connected to WiFi, is it connects then becomes unresponsive almost immediately. I have followed the usual steps of uninstalling and reinstall to no avail. I've seen a couple of threads here from people with the same issue, and the fix was to disable Advance security in the Eero router and change the DNS. My problem is I don't have Eero and can't find find these settings. Can anyone help please?
My router is
TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub
version SG4K100208

Thank you. Well it works for now. I saved the changes, restarted the router and reinstalled one of the speakers, so I will see if it lasts any longer than before.

You have one of two WiFi Hubs, the Sagemcom FAST5364 or 5464 (they both run that same firmware release). There was a problem the other week which seemed to be caused by an issue with the TalkTalk DNS servers. If you want to try using Google DNS (features such as Homesafe will not work as they are reliant on the TT DNS), log in to the router. Then go to:-
Dashboard > See internet settings > Manage advanced settings > Internet connectivity > DNS IPv4
The DNS Ipv4 button allows the network DNS servers (e.g. Google DNS) to be configured. When set to automatic, the TalkTalk DNS servers are used. To use different DNS servers (Google DNS), change the DNS dropdown box to Manually Specify DNS. Then set DNS 1 & DNS 2 to:-
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
Then apply the changes & reboot the router.
