Help to set up NordVPN on Eero router
Saturday
Message 6 of 6
Hi,
Hope you are well.
Is it possible to connect my NordVPN to my Talktalk eero router ?
I have tried to follow eero forum to change the DHCP & NAT setting on my eero apps but it doesn't work.
Would anyone have tried it before ?
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Louise

Hi @Aries1 what I'm going to say is based on supposition as I cannot try it as I don't have full fibre.
The first box is called the ONT and this converts the fibre input to broadband and vise versa.
If you add a third party router/modem connected by the ethernet cable you can add the VPN settings to this (Asus, Draytek and others) and then add the Eero to the third party kit and use it as an access point.
It might work in the ONT, Eero, third party kit orientation but I'm not sure.
Unfortunately ISP tend not to offer VPN facilities on their equipment.
I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.

Hi Divsec,
Good morning.
Thanks for your reply.
Would you know how can I set the router in front of the eero ?
Talktalk set up my eero router connected to a beige colour plastic box which connected to the cable from outside the house. Is it just a connector ?
'The first probably not possible. You would need a router or modem Infront of the Eero.'
Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Aries1

Hi @Aries1 are you wishing to assist the VPN to the Eero so that all Comms go through the router? Or setting up clients on individual devices ?
The first probably not possible. You would need a router or modem Infront of the Eero.
The second straightforward.
