Simple question to anyone who's been a computer network professional for as long as me.
I'm about to move to fibre. I have received a "Digital Voice Adapter". Is this simply a VoIP MoDem?
Is "Digital Voice Adapter" Talktalk's new funky media hype terminology for something which has been around for 25 of 30 years already? This would help me greatly to understand its purpose. Assuming so, does this mean I can use my own VoIP MoDem instead?
NB, I've been forced to add labels to this post. There is no label for "Digital Voice" however, there is one for VoIP. So, I'm using that.

@kdmcm, it's really better if you just stick to one thread for everything associated with your upgrade to Full Fibre 150.
It causes chaos if you start a fresh one for every detail, and is actually against forum guidelines.

I have already explained this in your other threads.
