Manipulative sales tactics

Hi there,  I do not have a talk talk account, but wish to make a complaint about the way your sales team are being told to speak to the public. Today, I recieved a knock on the door from a friendly enough young man who held a notepad with numbers & described himself as someone running internet tests in our local area. He asked me to test my internet speed and of course I obliged, thinking that he was working for the council or something working to improve the internet speed in our community. After I gave him the speed test result he started rambling on about random things occaisionally mentioning talk talk & the penny dropped that he in fact worked for talk talk, and was a company sales rep trying to get customers. This interaction was a misleading waste of time and honestly just makes me never want to have anything to do with your brand & makes your company come across as cheap, money grabbing, and manipulative. Hate to think of someone knocking on the door of any of my grandparents who might not understand what is going on and get conned into switching to your company. 

 

Please can you pass this on to the relevant team and let me know how you are going to respond to this and do better in future.
