I was expecting a call from the bank and was surprised they hadn't called, which I thought was poor customer service.  On the offchance I decided to check messages even though there was no indication of having any voicemails.  I discovered eight, including the bank, though there had been no indication of voicemails ; the first was from a fortnight ago.  The others were all important.

Has Talktalk changed the dial tone for voicemails?

Hi rgbrown1

Thanks for your reply.

It doesn't look like voicemail is activated. Please can you log into My Account and check to see if the voicemail option has been ticked?

Thankyou for replying.  I'm still not sure what you mean as my phone number and email on my settings.  I changed my avatar though.

Hi rgbrown1

Can I just confirm, are you using the wifi hub 2 or the digital voice adapter with the eero?

No it doesn't. I use the standard Talktalk service.

Hi rgbrown1

Can I just check, has your own handset got a built in voicemail service?

No, you have previously commented on other customers' threads.

These were not your own technical issues and so the responses were more generalised.

If you need help with your own issue, you need to complete your community forum profile details, @rgbrown1.

Now if I check 1571 or 1471 I just get a deadtone, also if I try and rring a number.  I seem to be able to ring in from a mobile.  THis is a serious problem as I need to be contactable and able to phone out on the landline for the sake of a seriously ill relative.
