Can make calls but can’t receive calls

Hello since Saturday I am able to make calls but cannot receive calls. The phone will just continously ring out from the caller's end if someone tries to call me but nothing happens from my side.

My internet is fine.

Hi it looks like an engineer managed to resolve the problem for a short while as I was able to receive calls but just a few hours later I'm having the same problem again. I can make calls but not receive. The line has a buzzing noise alongside the dial tone.

@Andii Will it be fine with you if I check back to you after the appointment of the engineer? 🙂

I understand @Andii and will not divert your calls.

Otherwise, apart from what we have discussed, would there be anything else you would like for me to further assist you with today? 🙂

Thanks for the update. Yes I would appreciate if an engineer can have a look. I don't need a call divert thanks.

Furthermore, as you can't receive calls, I can temporarily redirect the calls you receive to a different number.

Would this be alright with you @Andii?

Thank you for this confirmation @Andii as I have just run a test on your line which has identified a line fault that requires a supplier escalation to resolve. In addition to further resolve this matter, I will need to book an Openreach engineer.

More into this @Andii is that I have detected an issue with your line starting from your local exchange all the way int your home. So, the engineer will head directly to your local exchange within the next 24-72working hours to fix the issue and should they be any need to access your home, they will get in touch to notify this to you using the mobile number registered to your account, including sending over a text once the matter has successfully been resolved for you. 🙂

It's not just one person it's anyone who calls. My phone line is also not clear when I make a call. There's a tinny noise.

Thank you for this @Andii

Is the person calling you locally or internationally?

@Andii, thank you for bringing this to our attention as I will be able to check on this matter for you.

Just to double check, Do you have any active monitoring for life threatening health reasons which is solely dependant upon your TalkTalk Broadband or Telephone line? For example a care alarm, lifeline, health pendant or fall detector.
