I have been in my new flat for over 2 weeks. TalkTalk gave me a new number but told Openreach a different one which is already taken resulting in crossed wires. On day 5 an engineer was booked and he came on day 9, sorted the broadband and went to change my telephone number. That didn’t work. On day 11 I got another appointment for day 14 but he didn’t turn up. Day 15 I spent 2 hours on chat before getting an appointment for day 16. I subsequently received a message from Openreach confirming my appointment for day 17! Why couldn’t I have kept my old number? !!!!
