Does 1471 still exist ?

It's a long time since I used 1471 .... someone rang in the early hours (at an inconsiderate hour) and I'd like to find out which number/who it was.

Tried ringing 1471 , but a message says "you are not subscribed to this service".

So ... what's going on here ??

Hi @EssH88  Currently, the feature is set to be charged, which means it is turned off by default. If you choose to enable this feature, please note that there will be a fee of 20 pence each time you access it.

To activate this feature, you can easily do so through your MyAccount portal. Let me know if you are able to enable the feature on myaccount.

"A belated thought and forgive me if I'm wrong, but did you perhaps dial 1571?  That would explain the "not subscribed" message. "

99% sure that I dialled 1471. I'm not even aware of 1571 (or what it's purpose is), so I wouldn't have dialled it (intentionally).

@EssH88

A belated thought and forgive me if I'm wrong, but did you perhaps dial 1571?  That would explain the "not subscribed" message.

Hopefully the support team can clear this up. I tried it and it worked for me, I stopped short of pressing 3.

@ferguson maybe, but I thought there was now a charge, which is why you have to subscribe.

Hopefully someone will give a definitive answer, or maybe not???

"

I am not sure there is any charge unless you actually use the callback feature i.e. press 3? " ..... that's how I understood it too. However the wording (typically  TT ) seems to be somewhat vague (maybe deliberately so ?) ......

Hi @EssH88 are you by any chance using VoIP? This might be the explanation.

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
