Telephone landline not working

We found yesterday that the landline is not working although the broadband is fine. No calls in or out. No dial tones. No ringing.

Hi Chris,

We have just been called on the landline by Openreach to tell us the problem has been fixed.

We now have a working phone.

Thank you so much for your help in setting up the repair and for getting it done so quickly.

I've raised this to Openreach, they will investigate over the next 72 hours and may contact you directly if they need to access your home

I have just tested with the test socket and there is no change with the current handset.

We do not have a second handset so cannot test this.

I will test the current handset with the test socket.

Morning,

 

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a test on the line now which has detected a potential fault. Can I just confirm, is the no dial tone fault also present at the test socket with 2 different handsets? As soon as we have confirmed this then we can raise this over to Openreach for further investigation.
