Anyone with experience of moving from existing cooper based line to VOIP with Talktalk.

What is involved and what are the costs??

No. As long as they are of modern vintage they just plug in to an adapter, rather than the old phone socket. I have a DECT multi set, so the base unit is connected and the wireless extensions work as before.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Thanks for the update

Did you have to dispose your old landline handsets?

No costs as such, other than switching to a Full Fibre service. I had some trouble getting it activated, but fine since. Bear in mind VoIP is currently not available on other than an Openreach connection.
