broadband went down Tuesday, Was reset by TT remotely, but phone was dead. I could ring the number but went straight to voicemail then cut off. Open Reach came Wednesday. Said TT must have disabled voip when they reset the router. Told me to ring them and request they turn it back on. After he left my phone now says check line cord. I have changed the cord but still not working

Have you tried turning your router and ONT off for 30 mins,and if you have a separate device for plugging the phone in, there too.
If that does not work, Unfortunately, support staff are no longer available here and this will require you contact TalkTalk directly as the forum is now peer to peer and this is something we are, on this occasion, unable to help you with.
