For any questions about your TalkTalk mobile service.

Hi
I received the notification that the TalkTalk mobile service is closing, my email says on 07/11/2025.
I obtained a PAC code and signed up with TalkMobile to transfer my mobile number on 07/10/2025.
My TalkMobile charges commence from the date they send me a new SIM. When will the TalkTalk billing terminate?
Will charges for the TalkTalk service automatically terminate on the date that the PAC transfer of is made? Or do I need to notify TalkTalk? Presumably charges will end on 07/10/2025 anyway.
Perhps someone who has come this way already knows the answer.
Thanks, Jon

Thanks, I don't think it's too bad a deal as I have unlimited calls & texts that I can use abroad to call back to UK.

That's quite a poor deal, but if you want unlimited calls it is ok I suppose. I got a good deal with Lebara via the Martin Lewis money site, Unlimited texts, 300 minutes of calls and 1 GB data including Europe for £1.80 a month for 6 months then £3.80 a month, no contract either, it just rolls from month to month until you cancel. Like you I am a low mobile user so this is more than adequate. Lebara seem to have some of the best deals.

Thanks Jon, I have decided to switch to an Asda Talk & Text as I never used the internet on my mobile.
Mainly had it in case I broke down in car & had means to contact breakdown services.
£4 a month unlimited T & T including Europe.

Ferguson, just a follow up which may be of help to someone.
I transferred my mobile service to a new Talkmobile SIM on 7 October. No apparent issues with my iPhone initially, until we went to France when I could not access data services on roaming.
After swapping with a local French SIM in my phone and using my Talkmobile SIM in another phone which worked fine, the culprit was found to be the mobile data APN setting. The legacy mobile.talktalk.co.uk APN was not updating automatically on my iPhone. Once the APN was changed manually to talkmobile.co.uk, everything was fixed and now roaming and connecting at 5G.
I offer this to anyone changing from the TalkTalk mobile service. It took me quite a while and a degree of experimentation to diagnose the problem and I am not convinced a help desk would easily diagnose the problem.

@jotoho1, please check the link in Fr8ys's reply.
Basically there is no forum support for mobile matters - you would need to check with the mobile team for issues to do with your contract. Call 03451 720044 or use Chat.
But there will be no Talktalk mobile service after the date in November as it will cease to exist.
You won't be paying for months you cannot use. Is it your Broadband minimum term Contract that expires two months later? If so, the main contract continues till then. You won't be charged for the mobile use beyond the 25th November.

I have a mobile query too.
I received a few days ago a text message stating it was a follow up to a letter TT had sent me re termination of service around 25th Nov 2025.
I have NOT received any such letter.
My contract states that it expires on 26/1/26.
So can someone sort out why the discrepancy between service termination 25/11/25 & contract termination 26/1/26.
Do I have any redress for compensation for 2 months without service?
When will my last payment be due to TT?
Grateful for any clarification.

You existing contract will cease once the number has been successfully ported to your new provider.
