A message come to my phone saying there was a risk of viruses and telling me to place my credit card against the back of the deice to scan it or enter credit card details manually. I have not done

so. I've rung my bank and was advised to ignore the message. I think my bank is right and I shouldn't give anyone my credit card details unless I understand why.

Absolutely correct,  @A2bcd.

Also block the sender and delete the message.

It would be wise to run genuine antivirus and Malwarebytes checks on all your devices however.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
