Advice Regarding VPN and TalkTalk.

Hello.

I wonder if any of you kind folks could possibly advise me.  I am interested in purchasing a VPN but I was wondering if there were any that worked well with TalkTalk?  The reason I ask is because I don't want to inadvertently upset my internet connection.  I'm also unsure if there are any that could be applied to the TalkTalk router level, but I'm a bit of a novice in that respect.  There are websites (not naughty, honest!) that I could access with my work laptop's VPN that simply won't load on my personal laptop.  I've double-checked that it isn't anything to do with the parental controls on TalkTalk.  So I was just looking for some helpful advice.  My sincere thanks in advance.

Best wishes,

Teresa.

Further to my previous post @Teresa5:-

  1. You cannot install any VPN client in the router. In 99% of times, this is not recommended anyway. This is because it leaves your Wi-Fi network (potentially the most vulnerable link) unprotected by the VPN.
  2. Always install separate VPN clients on each device that is required to be protected. That way, the extra protection of a VPN link is directly from your device to the VPN server of the VPN provider, wherever in the world that is.
  3. Proton VPN that I mentioned is free, but there is also a paid version as well. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Chromebook, Android, iPhone and iPad.

I can help a lot with this, most VPN clients will work over the TalkTalk network, like Proton VPN for instance.
