HELP!
Nearly 2 weeks ago I asked the Community for help with the masses of phishing emails I was getting and I think was helped byFerguson and Michelle.
Ferguson suggested that my email address had probably been compromised and suggested that I change my passwords.
I did that and ran Malwarebyes and Bitdefender. That's when my troubles started. The next thing I know is that I was blocked from eMClient, Gmail, TT web mail, My Account and, more importantly, the Community.
(At this point I have to point out that I have hadtwo cataracts removed and lenses replaced recently, so reading is very difficult, added to which I have a deteriorating Essential Tremor, which causes many typo errors)
I eventually got back into myeMClient, Gmail and TT web mail, as Santa came down the chimney at 1 am on Christmas morn.
However TT has not changed My Account and the Community passwords andemail addresses.
(I sneaked into this chatroom, by creating a new user name and password, using my Gmail account)
Is there a way to cchange my email address and password , without spending a couple of hours on Live Chat?
Is it possible to have just one email address and password to log into My Account, TT Webmail and the Community?
Also, is it possible to bypass the "I am not a robot "pictures, because the robot that is marking mmy answers knows less about the American roads and vehicles than I do, even with my present reading difficulties!

Hi Ady,
Many thanks for that. It's reassuring to know that this is a common problem, but aggravating to know that these criminals are getting past TT's anti-phishing firewalls.
You will be pleased to hear that I have mastered TT's new way of reporting phishing emails and yesterday sent nearly 70 of them to TT.
One of them was quite new to me. It stated that my email to the TT "abuse" site, reporting the phishing emails, had been "undeliverable" and that any others I sent to say, the government's reporting site, would also be undeliverable.
This led me to believe that these criminals are monitoring my outgoing emails.. Probably my paranoia, but it will not stop me from reporting these criminals to the relevant anti-phishing authorities , every time I receive these emails, in the hope that it helps TT hunt them down.

Hi John, the team are fully aware of the spam and phishing mails. Don't worry too much if you can't report them.

Thanks Ady.
You might like to know that I can now access my eMClient, Gmail, TT Community (new account, not my old one), TT webmail and My Account. So all is well on that front.
However I still have to get the hang of TT's new way of reporting phishing emails. So far I have fielded 25+ of these pesky emails and isolated them in my Junk folder, but TT still will not accept them in its "Place your phishing emails here" section.
I really want to help TT block these pests, but for now I'll just have to be satisfied with sending them to the government website for reporting phishing attacks.

Thanks Ady. I'll try your suggestion if I ever need to change my passwords again.
However I'll leave it a while, as the stress of doing so in Dec has left me traumatised.

If you don't have any options in the tool for the affected email address, please send me a personal message with the affected email address, alternate address and mobile to use in the reset tool.

@NoviceJohn, I see you started a new thread but it's really the same topic.
Please just follow up on this one, as that helps manage continuity.
The staff member who deals with this is on holiday and staff hours are reduced over the festive period.
Normal service resumes from Thursday 2nd January, so your topic should receive a reply later in the week.

Hi G2,
Many thanks for your sensible suggestion, which I will certainly adopt, once I can access all my mail and TT accounts.
Many apologies for beeing sso vague, but I have been so confused and agitated by the many Catch 22 situations I've encountered in my quest to get back into my various accounts of late, that I have made the mistake of cancelling some original passwords etc , in the hope of being left with the one password I know will get me into my web mail.
I only use secure passwords suggested by Google anyway.
Best wishes for the New Year,
John

Hi Ferguson,
I believe that it was John 3044, but I'm not sure, as I deleted it from my password bank when I was having this problem.
I also believe that fr8ys helped mr recently.

What was your previous username here?

It's really far safer NOT to ever use the same password for more than one site, @NoviceJohn.
If that one password is ever stolen or one site's security is compromised, the first thing a crook will do is try it out on other sites so everything gets hacked into.
