Sinc remote to samsung tv

I have recently got a new tv box due to issues. And i cant sinc the new remote to my tv so control sound? It will turn it on and off but using box sound instead of tv? Ive tried changing the setting hdmi thing and it doesnt change. Ive tried pressung tv button to try to enter code but the light isnt staying on to put code in?

What you are looking for in settings is HDMI -CEC.

 

IF you have a netgem 4K box this does need enabling, but the Hub should already allow that.

Which box do you have?

 

Not all TVs can sync as the don't all have the necessary handshake protocol.

 

Are you using the HDMI cable supplied with the box or an old one. The box requires a 4k rated lead such as the one supplied.

 

If it still won't work, then you will need to try resetting the box, which will put the box into factory settings and you can try again.

 

If it still doesn't work then it would seem it's not compatible or there may be a setting within the TV that needs changing.

I have tried these steps and when I get to the page to select begin, it won’t let me. Only lets me go back to home
