Hi there,
Recently my remote would no longer connect via Bluetooth and now it won’t even turn the box on. How do I resolve these issues? I have already tried turning it off and on again, new batteries and a factory reset with no luck.
Thanks
Dan

Great, just to check, are you only having issues when trying to connect via Bluetooth/turning the tv box on using the remote or there's other issues as well?

Thank you, I will need to look into this for you and may include a few checks which will help us understand the cause of the issue and a possible resolution to it, will that be fine with you?

Hi Fez,
I have attempted the above actions as directed apart from trying an alternative Bluetooth device as I don’t have another. I am still unable to use the remote or pair it via Bluetooth. Can you organise a replacement?
thanks

Hello @DanLee279 , thank you for reaching out to us. I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your remote. Since you've already tried turning it off and on, replacing the batteries, and performing a factory reset, let’s explore a few more troubleshooting steps:
-Please ensure that there are no other electronic devices nearby that might be causing interference with the Bluetooth connection. Sometimes, devices like microwaves or wireless routers can disrupt the signal.
- If your remote is Bluetooth-enabled, try to re-pair it with your box. To do this, hold down the pairing button on the remote (usually found in the battery compartment) until the LED light starts flashing. Then, follow the on-screen instructions on your TV to complete the pairing process.
- Check for any physical damage to the remote. If any buttons are stuck or if there’s visible damage, that could be affecting its functionality.
- If possible, try using the remote with a different compatible device to see if it works there. This can help determine if the issue is with the remote or the box itself.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please do let us know so we can further assist.
-Fez.

Hi
I am still having issues with it and now the hub box won’t even allow me to cast to it. Please can you organise a replacement for both?
thanks

Just checking if you are still having any issues with your remote control. Kindly confirm with feedback once you have received this. 🙂

Whilst you've done a factory reset of the box, have you tried a remote control reset?
Details can be found here

See if the remote works on IR, then try reconnecting via BT.
When in infra red mode, if you have a smart phone, use the camera and point the remote at it, the press a button and you should see it light up. If not the the remote is dead. Note this trick does not work on Bluetooth connected remotes.
TalkTalk don't replace just the remotes so you would need a replacement box in that case.
Let us know how you get on.
