Hi

For some reason we can no longer get Dave dejavu on our talk talk TV.

I have reset the TV channels several times and Chanel 74 isn't on there

Any idea ?

@MeAnnWilliams

After doing a retune as suggested by @mandisa1-TT check what other stations are transmitted on the same Mux as U&Dave ja vu. If you have lost this channel you should also have issues with the others.

As it's a time shift channel you should still have access to U&Dave.

@siphosethu-TT thanks for your comment. Appreciated

Many thanks for your reply

Yep I had done a check on the Freeview predicted channels , as you say it's only a prediction and we get many other channels not shown on their list .

This particular channel is the only one we have lost , we did have it then suddenly we didn't.

Thanks again for your suggestions 😀

You can check your predicted coverage here @MeAnnWilliams

https://www.freeview.co.uk/freeview-channel-checker

Unfortunately this is only a prediction and not guaranteed as a lot is dependent on your aerial installation, such as if you have a lift or external aerial for example. Also your actual lead used can affect this and also if you can get access to one or more transmitters in your area.

Where I am for example, we can get Crystal palace and those in East Anglia. The channels transmitted varies dramatically between the 2 and the signal on some Muxes are very low on some and therefore easily affected by weather variations. What I can get one day, I can't get at all or is pixelated on another. You may be able to see this in your area if your neighbours aerials are pointing in different directions.

Checking whether you can get them via the TV might give you a better signal as TV tuners are normally better at pulling in weaker signals than those on Freeview boxes.

It might be worth phoning a friendly local installer and asking if your signal can be improved before paying anything to them. Friendly being the word.

Hope this helps, but it's normally all down to your aerial installation and not a fault with the box.

Many thanks for your swift reply .

I've tried retune ( can only see one way to retune

Menu/Settings/TV settings/TV channels/Retune Channels  )

It shows 163 aerial channels

Please let me know if that works, if not, we will need to complete checks.

Hi there @MeAnnWilliams

In mid‑January 2026, Freeview made a major update that moved U&Dave Ja Vu (formerly Dave Ja Vu) to a different broadcast system. While the channel still exists and is officially still channel 74, it now has much more limited coverage than before

  • U&Dave Ja Vu moved from a national Freeview multiplex to the “Local/COMUX” multiplex
  • This means only homes that receive a local TV channel can now get it
  • Many areas no longer receive channel 74 at all, even after retuning [rxtvinfo.com], [cai.org.uk]

Because TalkTalk TV uses Freeview via your aerial, this affects TalkTalk customers directly

Please try Full retune

Full retune (not quick retune)

Menu → Settings → Channels → Full retune / Factory retune
