Hi,

I am getting the fast fibre cable installed on the 21st this month and going on to the "FIBRE 150" package.  Having looked at the pros & cons of the EERO6 router I have decided that the SAGEMCOM router I have with a port for a phone connection is the best option.  My queery is, can  the phone plug direct into the port or do I need some other gadget in between to get my VOIP .

Cannot seem to find the answere anywhere on line, so any thoughts would be welcom

Hi,

there are different versions of the Sagemcom, if the phone socket on your router is the same as your phone plug you can just plug in and go.  VOIP connects through the broadband. when I went on Fibre 150 my phone was still connected to the copper cable, day after the line was dead.  So plugged into my router and got the dial tone straight away.

I suggest you look at the model of your router and post it in a new post , Karl will be able to confirm as he did fo me.

Hope that helps,

Stay Safe & Well

I'm considering moving onto the Full Fibre 150 with VoIP and I have a Sagemcom router but the only telephone port I have is marked Broadband?  How does that work?  Will I need to change my router?

Hi

You can plug a compatible phone directly into the phone port of the Sagemcom router - Provided you ordered VOIP of course.

Regards,

Karl.
