Sorry if this is obvious but I have broadband with TalkTalk and have had a BT phone line for forty years. I pay monthly land line charges to BT but I never make any calls as I use mobile phone. Do I still need to keep paying BT to keep the number for TalkTalk broadband as no-one else I know still uses their landline?
Thanks

Hi @Ges62
You are paying BT for line rental and TalkTalk for broadband separately, you can make a significant saving by moving to an all in one package, call the loyalty team on 03451720088 they will be able to see what options are available

Thanks. I just can't work out if I am paying twice for line rental from BT and TalkTalk?

From what you say you must be on a very old package. I will move this to the Billing section where it can be more appropriately dealt with, although bear in mind that the support team here will not be back online until Monday.

With most customers, they only pay TalkTalk for both, although I have come across your situation once before. So it is rare.

Thanks, but do I have to keep paying BT for the line or can I pay TalkTalk?

Your broadband runs over your landline. Whether you choose to use the landline is up to you. Take away your landline and you lose your broadband.
