On one page it says "We are here 24/7" then the next it says "look at each departments opening times. " Confused?

There are many forms of help, some of which are self help, some automated and some via phone, chat and the forum which are manned at different times.
The help pages to give advice to common problems are 24/7.
Via my account you can check you line connection for faults and if found should be automatically reported. This is automated 24/7.
Help lines and chat are available during the hours you have found.
The forum is manned by TalkTalk staff during normal office hours Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours Community Stars, such as myself, help customers where possible and other customers help too. We need to sleep so it's not 24/7, but as you can see from this reply, we respond when we are able.
