Just had an email confirming that my account is being taken over by Utility Warehouse.
The email states I can leave with no termination fees any time up until 30th November.
Just to clarify does this include customers who are still under contract with TalkTalk?

@retroboy I will have to check if your account has a note stating you can leave without charges as they have sent communication.

maybe I'm being a bit thick but I'm still not sure if I have to pay termination fees? 🙂

The email is correct. Guidance to agents and online is being updated.

Hi there
@Gliwmaeden2 Thank you very much for supporting.
@retroboy To clarify, if you decide to cancel your service, you will be liable for the early termination fee as per your contract agreement. We are currently reviewing the email address that was sent to you. Thanks

Another customer has posted similarly and the matter has already been referred for clarification.

thanks for replying. I just doublechecked the sender email address and it looks legit :
After reading your link I think this is more likely to be an internal error on the email information from TalkTalk but will wait for update thanks

It's very likely to be a polished scam, @retroboy.
Talktalk's own pages say:
Please wait for a staff reply and do not take any action meanwhile.
